Some Men are Born for Greatness

It has been said the greatest volume of sheer brain power in one place occurred when Jefferson dined alone..."

John Kennedy

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes..
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidise with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..'

January Update on 100 Day Steer Trade

Remember in November I came across an article in a rural newspaper describing a strategy being put in place by a grazier on a mob of cattle he purchased.
Where is the noise coming from ? The last post I did has a video that auto plays, scroll down and press pause. Then come back up.

He said : "I care about 2 things; getting my money back and the kilos they put on".

Now I take that to mean he wants the same $1.83/kg he paid for them at 250kg in 100 days at 350kgs.

Here we are in January and they are now 328 kg @ aound $1.75 quite a discount on the purchase price.

As I said in November this could prove to be profitable for him in the Buy /Sell Paradigm, however there is the risk of prices may remain at present levels or less. The market is certainly confirming that.
By using the KLR tools you can easily identify a profitable trade.

So I ran it through the KLR 30 Second market Report and spreadsheet, hmmm the 328 kg are overpriced so what could we do ?Watch the video to find out.

Palindrome - Brilliant Winning Video

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite.
This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant. Make sure you read as well as listen…forward and backward.

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it

Where are your affirmations taking you ?

Affirmation is a word that will provoke either 1 of 2 responses "Affirmations, what a load of bull%&*#, life happens, you can't change fate" or " Affirmations, I am clear about what want and affirm that daily"
Now here is the funny bit, both responses are 100% correct, why ? Well they are affirmations.

We have a choice every moment to manage our thoughts either in a proactive way or a negative way, that little voice in our head is creating affirmations from moment to moment.
On a daily basis I choose my thoughts based on will thinking in this way serve me, if it does then will it serve others. It is very easy to get sucked into others issues and challenges, however if it does not serve you, let it go.
So where are your thoughts taking you ?
Be careful of your thoughts,
your Thoughts become your Attitude,
Your Attitude becomes the Results you get in life.

Are you Attracting What you Really Want ?

"Hi, I'm from Russia - a dream to live abroad, my name is Mary, can we get started?"

This is the subject of one of the many Junk emails I get each day. It got me thinking about how do we attract what we really want.I am sure this person did not create the email with me in mind, just create it and spray it out there to see what comes back. Then one has to ask was the agenda to even have a relationship or rip someone off.

Now the photo is probably not even of Mary - if indeed Mary exists.

Over the next period of time I am going to suggest a way you can get clear about what you want out of life and how you might be clear about the message you send out to the universe.

First step start to become aware of what you are thinking about in your life and how that seems to keep turning up even when it is something you don't want.

Tomorrow I will give you the next step in the process, in the meantime as Bud says
"Smile,Smile as if you mean it "

ps. For those young bucks out there who may want Marys email, sorry it is deleted !!

Why Cost of Gain becomes Cost of Carry

Ever since Jim returned from his time with Bud in the USA, we have been debating the change within KLR. Not so much that we didn't agree on the change, rather it was a lot of work to make the wholesale change in the school and calculators.

Now that we have had some time this is taking place so from this day forth Cost of Gain will be known as Cost of Carry.

So why the change ?

It is all do with our thinking, especially in this production focused industry where most time the only way people profit is through animals gaining something whether it be weight or wool etc.
So Gain implies we must put on weight to make a profit from overpriced Inventory in order to replace them with Underpriced Inventory (grass, money, livestock).

The reality is, there are times when you can make a profit with no weight gain, and sometimes even a weight loss.

The profit calculators are changed to reflect this or are being changed.

KLR Mastermind members can download the updates by going to the KLR website @ http://www.klrmarketing.com.au/index.cfm?page_id=1037

Making Money in a Volatile Market

Ben Hooper a KLR Mastermind member is featured the front cover of the summer edition of "Cattle Country" magazine.

Excerpt from article :
Making money in a volatile market
KLR Marketing School graduates grinning despite falling cattle prices

Ben Hooper, “Brenwick”, Gilgandra, trades all classes of cattle and sheep at his Central West NSW property and is even commission buying on behalf of fellow Mastermind members.

The part-time Auctionsplus livestock assessor participated in the KLR Marketing School in October last year and values the flexibility it has given him and his operation.
I did the school to get confidence in trading through solid numbers instead of assumptions,” he said.
The market reports and spreadsheets allow me to accurately know the value of a trade, including all costs, which allows me to determine the best trade opportunity on a given day.”

The article was written by Amy Lawson, here is the opening lines :

THE cattle market is fluctuating and few can follow its trend but there is a group of cattle traders and breeders around the country profiting from the volatility.
They’re the cattlemen selling livestock that may not even be fat, and they are the ones strategically selling to make a profit – not because they’ve run out of grass.

More than 1400 people from about 700 grazing businesses across the country have tapped into the phenomenon that is the KLR livestock marketing system.
The word has spread far and wide since three graziers established the KLR Marketing School in Australia in 2004, and plans are in place for the first Victorian school to be staged at Bendigo in March.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

Welcome to 2010, wow what a month it has been with bushfires in some areas and now flooding rain. The photo of a "Cell Centre" above is at Graham & Kathy Finlayson's near Brewarrina, where they have had around 14 inches - 2010 is sure going to be a great year for those that can get some sunshine and grass growing.
Not everyone is lucky with quite a few stock loss's in the flood areas, Sth West NSW did not get a drop whilst at Toodyay in WA there were 32 homes burnt - Australia - a land of Drought and Flooding rains.
We had just the best Christmas on the houseboat, complete with Old Man Saltbush for a Tree
with the boat pulled up on the edge of a pdk in the Darling river.
Bathurst has had around 4 inches, Tamworth 8 inches and someone said Coonamble 18 ".
How did you fare - email me with your rainfall story at peneena@gmail.com
