NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE CONTROL

Continuing on last night's theme let's visit Stephen Covey's Circle of Influence. We all have concerns about the present global financial crisis however this is OUT OF OUR CONTROL.

We can easily be sucked into focusing what is outside our control which allows us to avoid responsibility and avoid taking action in a timely manner. When we focus here we become weak, powerless and indecisive.
This can also allow the Out Of My Control circle to become larger, whilst the Within My Control / Within My Influence shrinks.
Where as if we remain inside the inner circles of Control and Influence we start to make decisions regardless of what is occuring in the Outer Circle.

There are many questions we can ask, to which the answer may or may not please us like is the cattle market going to crash, are interest rates going up or down, will the $Au increase against the $US,will oil prices return to the highs of last year.Depending on who you ask you will get an OPINION - ask someone else it could be different.

The only real way ahead is to work is inside the "WITHIN MY CONTROL" circle.

Firstly you are in control of your thoughts and if you are in control of your thoughts - you are in control of your actions. So you can choose to look for opportunities, you can manage your costs and expenditure.

As a KLR Marketer you can forget about the market movements and do your calculations, trade the margins by selling the Overpriced Animals and buying the Underpriced animals.

"If we keep going along selling the Overpriced & buying the Underpriced, then it is so easy,so relaxing it is unbelievable" Bud Williams

Are you going to be a Bunny in the Spotlight?

As I was trolling through my emails this morning this one caught my eye, I started thinking news like this is going to come across our desk/tv/radio or newspapers more regularly this year. How will you react to these story's ?
Will you take Action or be a like a Bunny in the spotlight ?

"Britain was just three hours away from going bust last year after a secret run on the banks, one of Gordon Brown's Ministers has revealed.
City Minister Paul Myners disclosed that on Friday, October 10, the country was 'very close' to a complete banking collapse after 'major depositors' attempted to withdraw their money en masse.
The Mail on Sunday has been told that the Treasury was preparing for the banks to shut their doors to all customers, terminate electronic transfers and even block hole-in-the-wall cash withdrawals.
Only frantic behind-the-scenes efforts averted financial meltdown.
If the moves had failed, Mr Brown would have been forced to announce that the Government was nationalising the entire financial system and guaranteeing all deposits.
But 60-year-old Lord Myners was accused last night of being 'completely irresponsible' for admitting the scale of the crisis while the recession was still deepening and major institutions such as Barclays remain under intense pressure."
More

There is no doubt story's like this will be more common in 2009,however it is YOU who decides how you will react. Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad - Poor Dad" fame recently wrote a book called "Increase Your Financial IQ" where he explained the difference between investing for Capital Gain and investing for Cash Flow.

Capital Gains are out, Cash Flow is in.
This will be the theme of 2009 whether it be the share market, real estate or running livestock.
The KLR Marketing school focus's on using animals to turn a sustainable resource(grass) into cashflow at a profit.

If you have been to a KLR marketing School maybe now is the time to revisit the school or if you are yet to attend and would like more information please visit the website where you can recieve a free Mp3 and an Information Pack in the mail.

Barack Obama: Presidential Inaugural Address

Today the world changes, a man with vision has become the leader of the free world. He has a big job to do but let's not underestimate the power of Leadership and Vision.

"With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations."

GOLF IN DUBAI ANYONE ?

Golf in Dubai sounds expensive, right ? Well after reading a recent article about the buyers attending the southern weaner sales I'm not so sure.

To quote directly from the interview in "The Land" -

"A couple of games of golf and 341 steers later and the pair were ready to head back........."

Sounds like fun ? Well let's take a look at the sums both in the old paradigm Buy - Sell and the New paradigm Sell /Buy using the figures quoted in the article.

BUY/SELL
January - Buy 360 Kg Steers $691 $1.91c/kg
He said in August - Sell 480 kg Steers @$ ???? ( who knows$$ ?)
Now there are some costs (COG) to account for $146/head without grass cost or add the grass @$2 /week $218.
Breakeven price (no grass cost) $837 or $174 /kg
Breakeven price incl Grass @$2/wk $909 or $1.89/kg

KLR SELL / BUY
Here at KLR we would do it a little different

Sell 480kg Steer $765 - $1.59/kg ( Last weeks Wodonga price for 480kg)
Deduct COG $218 / hd
You can pay less than $547/hd or $1.51 c/kg

Watch the video to see why you would be better off to fly over and play a game of golf in Dubai rather than take your annual trip to the weaner sales for a game of golf with your agent.
