South Fork Snake Day 2

Day 2 on the Snake threatened to be stormy but it turned out to be a nice day in the end.We were on the road at 7.30 am,floated 26 mile and home at 7.00pm so a big day.
Ok fishing report for today ,Ros ( me) caught these beautiful cutthroat trout on a hopper early morning , then a caddis with a dropper emerger mid morning . Awesome!!!
This is one of two rainbows Grahame hooked up,this was late morning both caught on may flys and a caddis . Using 5 lb tippets 9.5 length the.the 2 nd round of stone fly hatching is happening at the movement ,so we are using a fly called a peanut which looks like a yellow grasshopper .
This is the stone fly nymph, these ones don't have wings so they skim across the top of the water to get to land hense the little yellow peanut which has brown on the bottom of it and is extremely effective .
Some people have a home with a view !all houses along the river have similar styles .
Ros captured these guy's as they took to the wing.
